The black bears are at it again. This sow and cub were seen feeding on the nuts of the Whitebark Pine. Unfortunately for the bears whitebark pine trees do not produce large crops of cones every year. This is probably one of the eleven blackbears that was rewarded last year . There are likely not enough cones to attract and keep the bears in the pines in this fall.
